Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1997 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is an album released in May 2015 from Decca Records. It has received a lot of praise from music press and bloggers. She has recorded several high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis) for the Christmas advert. Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway from her side, gave her the track a little more attention. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see what it could do. The parents of her May-Britt family along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as an occupation or pastime but as a way to develop. So she started writing her own songs. Her influences include renowned writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love for Bjork's style. When her mother informed her that her music can not only aid in her efforts to get noticed, and also inspire others to see their importance in the world and realize how they can benefit from them and her music, she was inspired to start singing in public. She started playing piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. It was not until she turned 14 that she told her parents. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. She says she just likes to compose music. She believes music can make any person feel better.
